Megan's Love Story Note

How did you meet?

A mutual friend introduced us in college

Did you have a romantic proposal?

We spent a romantic day in Paris, including watching a beautiful sunset atop the Eiffel Tower with a glass of champagne in hand and walking over 15 miles to explore the city! On our walk back to the hotel, somewhere in the grassy area with a view of the Eiffel Tower, Chris popped the question!

What was your inspiration for your wedding theme/colors?

We wanted a unique venue, a great view of Baltimore, and a huge party! We gathered all the details we loved from other weddings we’ve attended, along with a few of our favorite things (travel, beer, and crabs!) and made them a part of our day and scheme. Each table was named after a beer from places we’ve traveled and included a story about us. We incorporated the copper color wherever we could, including our crab bottle openers engraved with our names and date. All the little details made it feel unique and special to our relationship.

How was the planning process?

Super fun! We are planners and really enjoyed coming up with the little details for our big day. I used Pinterest frequently and was really happy with the decor and theme we were able to create. It was great to see our ideas materialize on the wedding day. We also had an amazing set of vendors, each very experienced in their field, which made us confident things would run smoothly. They took the
stress and the worry away!

Do you have any special or memorable moments from your wedding day you’d like to share?

There was a 90% chance of rain when I woke up. Walking down the aisle outside and seeing Chris there was so surreal and exciting! It wouldn’t have mattered where we were, but the beautiful sky added to the moment.

Our ring bearer also sang with the band to start the party, which was another special moment for us!
